Effective 2 October 2026 · AMP 1.0
The short version: AMP doesn't collect your data. There's no AMP server and no analytics. If you buy AMP Pro, ExtensionPay handles the payment.
What AMP can access
AMP runs only on pages at meet.google.com. It needs that access to show its controls on your call and to press Meet's own reaction buttons when you ask it to.
While it runs, AMP looks at Meet's controls, such as the reaction button and the leave-call button, to tell if you're in a call and which reactions are there. It also watches the reactions you send as they float up, so it can keep pace with Meet. It doesn't read chat, captions, transcripts, names, email addresses, audio, video or screen shares.
What AMP stores
AMP keeps these in Chrome's extension storage, on your device:
- Your settings, like tempo, beat and where you put the AMP pill
- The AMPs you save and their shortcuts
- Your last few reactions, so it can show the one you used most recently
- Whether you've bought Pro, and the random key ExtensionPay uses to check it
Nothing about your meetings or the people in them is stored. To clear it all, use Settings → Start over, or remove the extension.
What AMP sends
The reactions AMP sends go through Google Meet exactly as if you'd clicked them, and Google's own privacy policy covers those.
The only other connection AMP makes is to extensionpay.com, to check whether you've bought Pro. That check uses a random key stored in your browser, not your name or anything about your meetings.
Permissions
- storage saves your settings and AMPs on your device.
- scripting puts the latest AMP into Meet tabs you already have open when AMP is installed or updated, so you don't have to reload your call.
- meet.google.com lets AMP show its controls there and press Meet's reaction buttons.
AMP Pro and payments
AMP Pro is a one-time purchase of $1.99, sold through ExtensionPay, which uses Stripe for card payments. When you buy Pro or restore a purchase, ExtensionPay asks for your email address and handles the payment. AMP never sees your card details, and it only learns whether you've paid.
The free features never need an account or a payment. ExtensionPay's own privacy policy is at extensionpay.com/privacy.
Keeping and deleting data
Everything AMP stores stays in your browser until you clear it with Settings → Start over or remove the extension, which deletes it. Your purchase stays with ExtensionPay, so you can restore Pro later with "Already bought it?". To delete your ExtensionPay record, contact ExtensionPay or email us and we'll help.
AMP doesn't sell data, doesn't use it for advertising, and doesn't use it for anything other than running the extension.
Changes
If AMP starts handling data differently, this page will change first and the date at the top will move.
